ATTN ARTISTS: Keep NYS Creating Opportunity - Apply by June 17!

NYSCA is devoted to supporting our artist community. To help artists continue their vital work, we are pleased to announce the Keep NYS Creating grant program in partnership with the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts.

NYFA will award $1,000 project grants to support artists in Western New York, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, Central New York, North Country, Mohawk Valley, Capital District, Hudson Valley, and Long Island. 

Key Dates:

Application Opens: Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 10:00 AM EDT

Application Closes: Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 11:59 PM EDT

Application Review: Thursday, June 18-Sunday, June 24, 2020

Applicants Notified: First Week of July 2020


These grants were created to help artists continue creative projects that have been interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To be eligible, applicants must have previously applied for NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships in 2018, 2019, and/or 2020. Qualifying applicants in each region will be selected for funding, so that a minimum of 40 projects are funded equally across the state.
