Museum Day: Your Free Ticket to Over 100 NYS Museums Sept. 21
Discover awe-inspiring art, culture, history and science this month – for free, for all ages, and all over New York State!
More than 100 New York museums will offer admission at no cost for Museum Day on September 21 – a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in some of the world’s most renowned and unique cultural havens.
Across the state, you can:
- Take in masterworks by Henri Matisse, Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dali at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo
- Screen a classic film in a movie-lovers’ paradise at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester
- Go for a spin on a historic carousel at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum near Niagara Falls
- Board an aircraft carrier, explore a space shuttle and check out a submarine at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York City
- Meet a 3,000-year-old mummy at the Albany Institute of History & Art
- Explore diverse cultures that make up New York’s heritage, including its Native American history, statewide
