Dance
Supports dance in all its diversity and stylistic breadth as well as residencies and rehearsal space

Design Arts
Supports organizations devoted to architecture, historic preservation, fashion, graphic, industrial and/or interior design

Electronic Media and Film
Supports creative expression in all genres of time-based and moving image media, including emergent technology

Folk Arts
Supports traditional cultural expression practiced by ethnic, regional and occupational groups

Literature
Supports the creation, publication, and dissemination of fiction, poetry, drama and literary prose

Multidisciplinary
The Multidisciplinary Panel includes panelists with experience in a variety of different fields and disciplines. Panelists are drawn from a broad mix of organizations, which could include museums, theaters, artist-run groups, folk societies, universities, service organizations, or any other organization related to NYSCA's mission. Museum
Supports diverse arts and cultural activities emphasizing the exhibition and interpretation of art, objects or historic spaces

Music
Supports organizations producing chamber music, choral music, early music, jazz, new music, opera and orchestral music as well as community music schools

Presenting
Supports presenters of live professional performing arts, including programming in single or multiple disciplines

State and Local Partnerships
NYSCA provides support to Local Arts Councils, Multi-Arts Centers, and Multi-Arts Service Organizations operating at the regional, county, and local levels.

Theater
Supports theatre in all forms, including classic, contemporary and musical theatre and experimentation that crosses disciplinary boundaries

Visual Arts
Supports contemporary art exhibitions, installations, workspace facilities, residencies, publications and critical writing
