Jump Start Biennial, "Growth"

Buffalo Arts Studio’s Jump Start program works with students who show a deep interest in the visual arts and guides them along their college and career path. Jump Start cultivates cultural access by providing high-quality art instruction, professional development, portfolio preparation, exhibiting experience, and individual mentorship to students across Western New York, regardless of the ability to pay.

Students work in a variety of media, creating work reflective of their own unique experiences. “Growth” will include nearly 200 artworks by current Jump Start students as well as college students and graduates who participate in our Jump Start Extension program.

The current cohort of exhibiting Jump Start students includes Sophia Bensch, Faith Danahy, Lucenzo Deeb, Serenity Degraffenried, Sarah Durkin, Carly Glashauser, Gaia Godinho, Eva Hernandez, Elijah Jones, Sadiki Kashindi, Keira Kilinskas, Eli Neglia, Margaret O'Brien, Emma Pfordresher, Liliana Schmid, Renee Tasevski, Kendall Wood, Audrey Zhu-Fang, and Daria Zulqarnain. The exhibition also includes the work of 15 Jump Start Extension students who are currently enrolled or recently graduated from college.
