What That Quilt Knows About Me
What That Quilt Knows About Me will be on view at the American Folk Art Museum from March 17, 2023, through May 28, 2023.
Featuring approximately 40 quilts and related works of art from the 19th to 21st centuries, the exhibition presents quilts as deeply emotional objects that give us insight into personal and cultural histories. The exhibition also explores how artists have continually drawn inspiration from and pushed the boundaries of quilt-making to incorporate surprising materials and ideas, inviting audiences to consider these objects as archives of personal human experiences.
