Untold Stories

Rockland Center for the Arts is excited to present Untold Stories, curated by Mary Ting. The exhibition brings together three artists who convey life stories of ecological issues, immigration, and humanity. Tara Sabharwal, Mary Ting and Yeon Ji Yoo's work bring histories, memories, dreams, whispers, whimpers and historical and contemporary chaos which are woven together, dissected, reassembled and transformed. Time is at once present, past, and future. The site is here, there, anywhere and nowhere. The collages, drawings, paintings, prints, books, sculptures and photographs of these three artists are evocations of loss: as well as divinations: odes to nature and rejuvenation. These Untold Stories are the artists' pilgrimage into the hauntings of war, immigration, politics, gender issues and ecological collapse.
Opening Artists Reception: Saturday, April 15, 2-5pm. Open Mon-Sat, 11 - 4pm (closed Sundays).
