Abandoned Places: Sight, Stories, Sound

A Multi-Arts Story Project
w/Lou Stainback, Joel & Maks Newton, The Nerdy Duo

What is the feeling of home?
What marks does it leave?
Is home created outside us or from within?
Is it static or fluid…or Both?

These are just some of the questions Nyack, NY based musician, artist & educator K. Elevitch explores in her Debut Solo Exhibit featuring collaborations with Rockland County-based visual, musical & new media artists ages 15-55.

Through iPhone videography, digital & oral storytelling, songwriting, improvisational performance, sound design and multi-media installation art, Elevitch turns inside out the process of (be)coming home – both of self and art – revealing quiet yet powerful worlds of universal human being-ness: Intimate glimpses of longing, isolation, connection, freedom, love.

Don’t miss the evocative Debut Exhibit & Interactive Community Programs from this up-and- coming artist.

K. Elevitch (she/they) is an artist, educator & community arts leader whose multi-disciplinary projects & programs explore & center inter-generational collaboration, process-based storytelling, and queer & trans being-ness.
