
A Celebration of Local Poets with Amy Holman, Silvina López Medin, Ruth Danon, & Tiffany Troy
Amy Holman is the author of the collections, Captive and Wrens Fly Through This Opened Window, as well as four poetry chapbooks. She has taught for many years at The HVWC, and she is one of the poetry editors at The Westchester Review.
Silvina López Medin was born in Buenos Aires and lives in New York. Her books of poetry include: La noche de los bueyes, Esa sal en la lengua para decir manglar, 62 brazadas, and Excursion. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from NYU is an editor at Ugly Duckling Presse and teaches bilingual poetry workshops at the HVWC.
Ruth Danon is the author of four books of poetry. For 23 years she taught in the program she designed and directed for adult undergraduates at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. She retired in 2017. After retiring she founded Live Writing: A Project for the Reading, Writing, and Performance of Poetry.
Tiffany Troy is the author of Dominus and the chapbook When Ilium Burns, as well as co-translator of Santiago Acosta’s The Coming Desert /El próximo desierto, in collaboration with Acosta and the Women in Translation project at the University of Wisconsin.
