New York Council on Nonprofits
All NYSCA grantees can access professional development tools, including free professional development webinars and pro bono services, through the New York Council on Nonprofits. Opportunities include individualized assistance in finance, law, planning, communications and board relations and scholarships for the annual Camp Finance retreat.
New York State Technical Assistance Program: Literature
A partnership with the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses provides workshops and roundtables on marketing, fundraising, organizational development and other issues facing independent literary publishers, as well as regrants and professional development.
The New York City Arts in Education Roundtable’s Face to Face is a professional development conference that strives to demonstrate effective teaching and learning strategies and provides forums for discussion of critical issues.
Created by NYSCA in partnership with Wave Farm, the Map features a variety of resources including a funding calendar, consultant directory and convening archive. The Map also identifies contemporary media art activities, events and initiatives on a local and regional scale, representing a broad spectrum of independent media practice.
